George’s Marvelous Medicine-Roald Dahl

This story is about when George makes a type of medicine from ingredients all over the house, from animal food to shampoo to perfume to all sorts of things. He gives some to his grandma and she turns as big as a giant. This is a short but very exciting story. The author really put good details and he is a great writer. It has a good humor and is great fantasy. All ages and both boys and girls will love it. The illustrator has great artwork and she really describes it well in her pictures. I had a great time reading George’s Marvelous Medicine.

I agree with Heather. This is a exciting story. I think she left out that George’s father LOVES his medicine. George had used it on a chicken, and it grew to 6 feet tall. George’s dad thinks they will make a fortune with giant eggs the giant chickens makes. When George’s dad wants him to make it again, he doesn’t remember all the engredients! They look for all the empty bottles. They figure if it’s empty, he used it. Other than that, Heather basically said it all.
