The Sea of Monsters- Rick Riordan
Percy Jackson’s life is tough enough, being that he is the son of Poseidon. But, when a bunch of cannibal giants play dodge ball with him, Percy knows that he has to return to Camp Half-Blood. Camp Half-Blood is the only safe place for demigods like Percy. Percy’s life gets worse when he finds out that the magical borders of the camp are poisoned. Furthermore, if a cure isn’t found Camp Half-Blood will be over run by monsters. Percy must go to the Sea of Monsters to find the only cure to the poison, but on his way, Percy will find out a secret about his family, one of betrayal. I really liked this book because of the action, and for the same reason I the book will appeal to boys more so than girls. If you like this book you should read the other books in the series, including The Lightning Thief and The Titan’s Curse.
