Warriors-Twilight-Erin Hunter

This book is different from the others. It is more thought then action. The four Clans have to split up and find new territories. The cats from the journey are going around the lake to see what kind of dangers there are. It takes a long time, but soon they find new camps for everyone. Also, it is hard for some cats to seperate because some of them have grown together. Some of them are doubting that this is the place that they are going to live forever. The cats come back, but nobody knows where gatherings would be. Girls and boys would absolutely, completely, LOVE this book because it also has a good sense of humor. The saying for this series is before there is peace, blood will spill blood, and the lake will run red. What does that mean?l I’ll leave that up to you to find out. Also, where will the gatherings be held?

The story started when Brian Robeson was at his house when the door bell rang. A guy named Derek Holtzer was at the door and he said he wanted Brian to go in the wilderness with him and live there just like what Brian did in the Canadian Woods. Derek wanted to learn how to survive so he could teach people if they ever fall in a bad situation. Brian’s mom agreed. Derek came back a few weeks later with a plane. After they landed, they unpacked. Brian told Derek to leave all of the equiptment on the plane exept Derek’s radio, a map, and his note book. After the plane left, Brian made a shelter and it started to rain. A few days later, they had a big lightning storm. Derek reached for his radio and a lightning bolt struck Derek and the radio. The next morning, Derek had his eyes a little bit opened. Brian knew that Derek was in a coma. Brian tried to get some water but Derek choked on the water. From the first time Juli Baker met Bryce Loski at age 7, she knew that she would be in love with him forever. From the first time Bryce met Juli, he knew that he would have to avoid her forever. It’s been like that all the way to the eighth grade. But then, suddenly, their feelings change about each other, themselves, and the rest of the world. Their views on everything have totally flipped! Each chapter is told by a different character and you can see from their points of view the things that happen. It’s so funny to see how both their sides of the story connect. I really loved this story, even though I wasn’t too crazy about the ending. I recommend it for both boys and girls who think they’ll enjoy it.

After several hours, Butler returned to life, but the fairy magic was so strong, he aged during the operation. Well, Jon Spiro is very excited, but when he gets to his office, he figures out that he can’t use the C cube. Artimes formed an Eternity Code. You see, an eternity is very complicated. The person who makes the code has to make up their own language and use it as their password. Mr. Spiro gets very angry so he hires two people, the metal man and the monkey, to kidnap Artimes and bring him here so he could get the code. Turns out the monkey is a dwarf and had once cooperated with Artimes before on some other mission. So Mulch Diggums (called the monkey since he’s so puny) pretends to kidnap Artimes, but he still brings him to Jon. Now, Artimes has to act scared and all, but he has already schemed up a plan and Mulch, plus Holly and Juliet( Butlers sister. Milkweed-Jerry Spinelli

At first, he was just a boy with no identity in Nazi occupied Warsaw, Poland, and the first thing that he remembers is being a thief. Then Uri and other boys find him, give him the name Misha Pilsudski, and give him a place to live. But they have to live in hiding, because the Nazis can’t find out that they are Jewish. You can see the sadness of the things that happen through Misha’s eyes, a young boy’s eyes, as the story follows Misha and the orphans as they are forced to live behind the brick wall of the ghetto in Warsaw. There, Misha finds a family, changes his identity again, and struggles to find food for the boys, the orphans, and his family. But when the trains come to empty out the Jewish from the ghetto, he loses the person that he loved the most. Another fantastic book by Jerry Spinelli, Milkweed is so beautifully written and a definitely a favorite. Even though I love this book, I did have a bad dream about it once. I recommend it for both boys and girls.

T.Witches The Power of Two- __________&__________

This book is great if you like mysteries and magic. It is about two 14-year-old girls who were separated at birth. They look a lot alike. Each one’s friends say they are twins. If they ARE twins, they aren’t ordinary ones. They have magical powers. They met at Big Sky (an amusement park). Their names are Cam Barnes and Alex Feilding. Alex’s mom passes away. A doctor that was taking care of her said that her mom wanted to give her something that was hers. I bet you are wondering what that something is. Meanwhile, pop-sensation Marleigh is kidnapped! I think this book would attract more girls than boys because there is a little bit of just plain talkady-talkady-talk.

Brian’s Winter – By Gary Paulsen

What if thirteen year old Brian Robeson didn’t get rescued in the book Hatchet? This is the book about Brian’s winter in the Canadian woods. After he got the supplies from the crashed plane, he finished all the food and the rifle broke so he had to go back to using the bow and arrow to hunt for food. One day, he was awakened by a clanging sound. A bear was in his shelter and Brian kicked the bear. The bear turned around and swiped Brian to the edge of the icy water. The bear went into the water and found Brian’s fish trap. The bear ate the food there and went away. Brian decided he needed a stronger weapon. He made a bow and arrowheads out of the rock.

Later, Brian found a dead deer eaten by wolves. Brian took the rest of the deer to his shelter. As he cooked his food, a skunk walked four feet in front of him and raised its tail. Brian froze and the skunk just stood there with its tail up. Brian slowly got a piece of meat and tossed it to the skunk. The skunk took the piece of meat and walked away. The next day, Brian looked outside and saw the skunk wasn’t there. As Brian cooked the meat, the skunk waddled to Brian’s shelter and raised its tail. Brian threw some food from the pot and the skunk took it.

One day, a bear came and tried to get food from Brian. The skunk came just in time and sprayed to bear directly in the eye. The next day, Brian went hunting and saw a moose. He shot the moose in the chest. The moose came charging at Brian. Would Brian survive? Would he kill the moose? If he survives in the cold weather, how is he ever going to get home? Read Brian’s Winter to find out. I think both boys and girls would like this book about survival.
