The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants By: Anne Brashares

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, by Anne Brashares, is a very moving book. It is about four best friends, Tibby, Bridget, Lena, and Carmen who are going separate ways for the summer, though they never have before. They all decide to share equally a pair of pants over the summer, just to feel like they were with each other all the time. The pants mean love, therefore they should love their pals, and love themselves. Lena is going to Greece to visit her grandparents, Bridget went to a soccer camp in Baja, Carmen went to visit her father, and Tibby is left to work at Wallman’s in their hometown. Each will go through a lifechanging experience. This story is about love, loss, friendship, and fun. Tibby faces the hardest thing- a friend battleing Leukimia. Bridget has a summer love, Lena, too. And as for Carmen, things didn’t go quite as planned with her dad as she thought it would. If you want to find out how each girl handles her problems, read the book The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, part one of a series of four.

You did a great job of summarizing the story by giving details but not giving away the ending. Also, great grammar it made everything easier to read!!!

Thanks! I watched both movies- the first and the second. I think the book and the movie were tied, but definitely the book had many details that pulled my heartstrings and made me cry. The movie did too. The second movie made me cry too. And thanks about the good grammar Maranda.
