Shadow Horse- Alison Hart
In the book Shadow Horse by Alison Hart it tells the story of a girl named Jasmine Schuler who is accused guilty, by a man named Hugh Robicheaux the real killer, of killing a horse named Whirlwind, a champion horse she loved. She is sent to Second Chance Farm for forty-five days in foster care and under probation. The owner of the farm is Miss Hahn. She meets a boy named Chase there and at first she couldn’t stand him, but then she started to get a crush on him. They go to a killers auction where people buy loads of horses and bring them to slaughter houses. The meat is then shipped to Europe and Japan where horse steak is considered a delicacy. They go there to save horses from suffering, but if they are really sick they buy them just to put them to sleep. Jasmine (aka Jas) saw a horse and knew his disease, so they bought him and Jas thought he looked like a horse that she had before -Aladdin-on High Meadows Farm, the farm that she and her grandfather worked on. When they got back, Jas decided to name her new horse Shadow. Later Dr. Danvers-Hugh’s old vet- found out there was a microchip in Shadow’s neck. They use microchips to tell horses apart. But then Jas actually found out that “Shadow” really was Aladdin and that Hugh had used a ringer for Aladdin and Whirlwind, although we don’t know how he got the same microchip into both horses’ necks. A ringer is a replacement that looks exactly the same. Now that she got the proof to prove Hugh guilty, all she had to do is find the real Whirlwind… This is a FANTASTIC mystery book and I would recommend this book to all genders.

I love your blog Erin I really want to read this book. First because I loved your blog and second because it is a mystery book and I haven’t read a good mystery in a long time and love mystery books.
I love your blog on Shadow Horse Erin! But here is my summary of the book.
Shadow Horse by Alison Hart is a realistic fiction book and has 261 pages. This book is about a girl named Jasmine Schuler, who is put into court
after she attacked a wealthy horse owner, Hugh Robicheaux. Jas attacked Hugh because she accused him of killing his own horse named Whirlwind that she loved so much. After she is found guilty she is put into foster care at Second Chance, a farm for abused and ill animals. The owner of Second
Chance farm is Miss Hahn who has a worker named Chase. Jas thinks that
Miss Hahn is a spy for Hugh because she saw a picture of them together
when they were young. Chase is a guy who Jas first couldn’t stand to be around, but now she is in love with him. When Miss Hahn takes Jas and
Chase to a horse auction Jas finds a horse and knows how to cure it, she
asks Miss Hahn to buy it. She named the horse Shadow because he always
likes to hide in the shadows. One night Chase and Jas were trying to stop Shadow from chasing the neighbor’s cattle and then Shadow jump over at
least a three foot fence! After that Jas thought that Shadow was a horse Hugh use to own but it died along time ago. She asked Dr. Danvers (Hugh’s old vet) to get Aladdin’s (Aladdin is the horse that Hugh use to own) microchip number to compare it to Shadow’s. If you want to know if Aladdin and Shadow’s microchips are the same read the book Shadow Horse by Alison Hart. I would recommend this book to mostly girls from the grades 4th-7th and people who are horse fans. Guys can still this book too. ENJOY!
