This book is part of the Disney Fairies series.

Lily is an adorable garden fairy. She has a large garden with big, beautiful flowers she cares for every day. Every fairy in Pixie Hollow loves Lily’s garden. One day, while Lily took a walk in the woods, she came across a beautiful object. Although she wasn’t sure what it was, she loved it. It was round and pearly-white, with flared edges. She later found out it was a seed-to a plant unknown even by Iris, an extremely smart garden fairy. After planting the seed, she realizes the plant is extremely ugly, with big brown dots and sticky slime. The fairies have been telling her it’s no good. It then has an awful smell. Many fairies argue the plant has to go. Lily loves this plant though; she loves ALL plants. As the plant just grows bigger and uglier, all the fairies are getting sick from the plant. They were sneezing and coughing on there leaferchiefs. All of the fairies (except Tinker Bell, Lily, and some friends) are threatening to cut down the plant.

This book is about a boy named Greg who is in middle school. Greg has a wacky life because of his brother Rodrick. For example his brother Rodrick locked him into the girls bathroom in his grandfather’ s condo. Another wacky thing that happened was when Greg’s parents went out of town Rodrick through a party for all of his friends. Also there was a time when Greg joined the swim team and Greg hated it. The pool was always cold. However Greg found a way to get around it: every time the swim class started, Greg would ask his coach if he could go to the restroom and the coach would say yes. Then Greg would go to the restroom and stay there until the class was over. If you want to know if there are any more crazy situations you are going to have to read the book Diary of a Whimpy Kid#2 Rodrick Rules. I think this book would appeal to boys and girls because it is a humorous book.

This story is about a lovable boy named Joey, and his adorable Chihauhua, Pablo. Every day, Joey has to take a patch and put it on his arm. He needs the drugs so he doesn’t “get crazy”. He only wants to be a normal boy. His parents divorced and Joey now lives with his mother who works at a salon. Joey’s dad had problems with taking drugs and drinking too much beer. However, Joey told his mom he wants to visit dad, even though he has problems. Mom was not comfortable with this idea.

But, mother drove Joey to Dad’s. Dad lived with his mom, who also has serious drug issuess. She is always wheezing, and has to have an oxygen tank. Joey loved being with his dad, they went to story book land, played baseball, and much more. Every once in a while joey would call mom. Of course, like every child with divorced parents, Joey wanted his parents together. He eventually finds out it won’t work out. Dad purposely got rid of all of Joey’s medicine packets. And Dad made Joey promise not to tell his mom about anything they are doing. Joey is scared, and he wants to go home.

The book i read is Tangerine by Edward Bloor. I really enjoyed this book! In this book there is a kid named Paul that loves playing soccer. He is moving from Houston, Texas to Tangerine Florida. He really wants to try out for the soccer team. The only problem is he has something wrong with his eyes. Some people think he is blind but he is not. He has a brother named Erik. Erik gets in a lot of trouble. Some times Erik and his friend Arthuer do really mean stuff to Paul.  Erik likes playing football and his dad really likes watching Erik play. Erik playing football and his dad really likes watching Erik play. One time when Paul was at school a sink hole formed inside the school. So Paul and his best friend Joey helped a lot of people get out of the sick whole. No one died or got hurt that bad. The sink hole destroyed the school so a lot of people had to transfer schools. The new school they went to was even worst. There was a lot of bullies there. Also there was one good thing, Paul made the soccer team and his soccer team ended up winning the champion ship! After that Paul started getting in a lot of trouble and ended up getting expelled from the school. If you want to figure out why Paul got expelled, and what Paul did in order to get his eyes messed up, and also what Erik has done bad and if he gets caught. Read Tangerine by Edward Bloor.

              I read the book The Boy Next Door. The main characters are Taryn and Jeff. They are both best friends and both neighboors. Taryn and Jeff are both starting sixth grade in middle school so starting a new school was going to be hard for them. The first day of school was not smooth but not rough, they had to sign and read a lot of papers. During the first week of school Taryn volunteers to help with the school carnival and Jeff tries out for the soccer team with a bunch of seventh and eighth graders. Taryn has two other best friends, there names are Leslie and Cristina all three of there nicknames are TLC or Tender Loving Care.  One day of school Taryn and L and C starting talking about boys they said who they liked and then they said Taryn should start dating Jeff. Taryn said NO WAY but she was still thinking about it. Later on in the story Taryn and Jeff get into a big fight about Jeff calling Taryn names about her glasses, about Jeff not coming to a book signing with Taryn, and becouse taryn wouldn’t show up at Jeff’s first scrimage. But if you want to find out if they become friends again and stay friends you have to read the book The Boy Next Door by Laura Dower. In a rating from 1-10, 10 being the biggest I would give this book a 9. ENJOY THE BOOK!

The book The Empty Mirror By: James Lincon Collier is about a boy named Nick who has lost his reflection in the mirror. He does not want anyone to know, but since his friend Gypsy witnissed it he is the only one who he can talk about it. Nick gets in trouble for throwing stones at the church even though he knows he did not do anything. He is scared that he is sleep walking, but later on he figures out that his reflection has escaped and is doing sins to his name. The priest at his church punished him for breaking the windows by making him clean the grave yard next to the church. Every time he goes to the church he sees a zoom fly by and push down the grave of Jared Solters. He did research and figured out that Jared Solters was a man who died during a spreading disease called the Flu Epedemic. He wants to know why the zoom A.K.A his reflection is pushing down that grave everytime. He thinks it has something to do with the Flu Epedemic, but everytime he asks they say that the Epedemic has passed and we don’t need to worry. If you want to know if he finds out about Jared Solters and cathes his reflection read The Empty Mirror By: James Licoln Collier.

This Marley book was absolutely thrilling! It’s about a dog obviously named Marley.  Marley had brothers and sisters and lived with a lady named Lori. Lori had a full grown lab who had babies. She was a proud mama .John and Jenny Grogan wanted one of those dogs, but they didn’t know which one. Marley was a discount dog because well… OK I’ll come strait out and say it HE was dumb! His feet were way to big for him and there was something funny about they way he walked. Well, they took him out of all of them. they brought him home and made a bed for him out of a cardboard box. When Marley was old enough they signed him up for an obedience class were Marley loved to sniff other dogs and their owners. The instructor then kicked them out of class.Marley went on so many adventures like when he got asked to be in a movie ( which by the way turned out pretty weird) and like the time he pulled the table across some ways to get to a poodle! I would tell you more but it would blow the ending for you ! I highly recommend it for boys and girls! It is so funny!

Every August, Mary Alice and her brother Joey go to Chicago to visit their unforgettable Grandma Dowdel. She isn’t your normal grandma, when you’re with her you will have a great adventure: whether it’s cheating in a pie contest, illegally catching catfish, or having a dead man in your house. This book tells you about the adventures Mary Alice and Joey have for a few years. It starts out with grandma lying to a reporter that a man that died recently, Shotgun Cheatham, was a famous man. He wasn’t. Then the word got out and Grandma eventually had a gathering at her house for Shotgun. However, Grandma’s cat was in the coffin for Shotgun, and only grandma knew this. The cat moved the coffin and everybody thought that Shotgun was coming back from the dead! Grandma got out her gun and starting shooting like crazy, jumping around in “horror” for effect. Then she illegaly catches fish in one of the Sherrif’s boats. You would think Grandma was in enough trouble, but then she brings some of her old clothing to a yardsale her church was having. She had Abe Lincoln’s name stitched into it, and, with persuasion, got customers to believe it was Abe’s!

Grandma now is in serious trouble with the Sheriff.

The book starts with Hazel, her brother Ned, and Frankie. Hazel wakes up to find that she, once again, had the horrible that she is held captive in at tower. After she has this dream, something bad always happens to her. This time Colin, her dad who is a famous painter, sudenly disappears. Frankie lives across the hall and is babysitting them for the time. She doesn’t know where their dad is either. Later, two scary men threaten Frankie, saying she owes them one of the paintings. Then Ned’s and Hazels apartment gets robbed by the two same men who obviously have the keys to their house. Frankie has to fly somewhere for the day but is stuck at the airport on her way back. Hazel knows this is bad, so they move in with their cousins and Uncle they didn’t even know existed until a mysterious email on their dad’s file. They then only realize there is no way to escape this journey-the two men know a way into their cousin’s house.

After help from the cousins and Ned’s latest gadgets, they think they know what has happened.

This is a book about a boy named Greg Heffley, in 7th grade. Greg has a best friend name Rowley and two brothers, Manny and Rodrick. Rodrick is a teenager and Manny is just a kid about 3 or 4 years old. Greg has a CRAZY life involving a pretty girl named Holly Hills that Greg is always trying to impress, a mean soccer coach, a dad that wants to send Greg to military school, and brothers that always want to get Greg in trouble. When Greg’s dad realizes that shipping a kid to military school really shapes a kid up, Greg starts to worry because Greg’s dad WANTS TO PUT GREG IN A MILITARY SCHOOL!! In order to not go to military school, Greg has to get in shape, but first he wants to impress Holly Hills, a pretty girl in Greg’s class. One day Greg gets invited to a sleepover with his friend Rowley at another kid’s house. Greg was excited but he gets more excited when he finds out that Holly lives on the same street with the kids that invited Rowley and Greg over. Greg was planning to spy on Holly and her friends at the sleepover, but the night that he goes into the house where he is going to sleepover, he finds out that there were a bunch of little kids there. HE GOT INVITED TO A KIDS SLEEPOVER!!  Greg was not happy and then he finds out that he will be unable to go to spy on Holly and her friends. Anyway, Greg still has to get in shape in order to not attend military school. Oh yeah, did I mention that the military school takes place during SUMMER VACTION?!?!?! Greg’s dad decides to sign Greg up for soccer. Greg goes to soccer practice and gets put in with a REALLY mean coach. Greg’s team won the 1st game of the season and they went to go out to celebrate, but Greg’s dad couldn’t drive him home because he did not have the time so he asked the coach to drive him home. It ended up to be a total DISASTER! The coach had to stop at 5 stores, then he drove Greg home and Greg had to wait like an hour. During the 2nd game of the season he did not even get to play and it was FREEZING outside. He was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Greg’s life is falling apart so he is probably is going to be sent to military school and he is not doing a good job of impressing Holly either. If you want to find out if Greg goes to military school or if he is ever going to make a good impression on Holly Hills, you have to read this book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw by Jeff Kinney. I think this book is good for boys and girls and it is the best book I have ever read. I could not put the book down for a second. I finished this book in 1 day. I hope you read this book also.

    In this book there are four 12-year old Callahan cousins, Neeve, Phoebe, Kate, and Hillary. In the beginning of the story Hillary’s parents are almost divorced. Hillary is sad but realizes since she is 12 now she gets to go to Grandma Gee’s place with her 3 other cousins for the summer. When Hillary arrives she is depressed and doesn’t feel like a Callahan cousin. But when she sees her cousins she begins to feel like a real Callahan. Later in the book Hillary remembers to tell the 3 cousins that she wanted to carry on the flag planting that her dad and his brothers did with the Bickets, a family who lives in town, when they spent the summer with Grandma Gee. The flag planting was a challenge to see who could win Gull Island. Kate and Phoebe were not too thrilled about it but Neeve was. Finally all of the cousins were happy about the plan. To find out who wins Gull Island, which is where the flag is going to stand, read the book The Callahan Cousins: Summer Begins by Elizabeth Doyle Carey. My favorite part of the book was the conclusion because it was surprising.  I would rate this book 9 out of 10 because of the adventure at the end. I would recommend this book to mostly girls. I hope that whoever reads this book enjoys it.

Dive by Gordan Korman is about 4 kids ( two girls,two boys) who got summer internships as divers in the Caribbean Sea. Kaz,Dante,Star,and Adriana were the kids chosen to go. Star is handicapped,but she’s the best diver out of them all! They kids barely get to dive or even touch the water! Every morning when they get up, the ships gone and Cutter( the captain) and a little bit of his crew are already out in the water. They start to think this internship is a drag. Then, finally they go out to Dive!but, the have to tag caves with special markers. While they were tagging caves, Star found something! A wreck! It was a plane from World War Two! She went inside and looked around.Never in her life of diving had she ever found a wreck! She took bullets from the plane as an artifact.They took it up to Cutter and he said it was a movie prop!They were disappointed but ,the next day they went out and Dante found an old coin.Cutter also said it was a movie prop, but another man named Reardon was so anxious to get it.They wondered why he wanted it ,it was  just a movie prop.The next day they went to go see Cutter in his office but he wasn’t there! They found that old coin in a jar in his office.Looking at it closely Adriana said it was worth more than $100! Cutter TRICKED THEM!To find out if they figure out what Cutter is up to, read Dive.( there’s also book 2 and 3!)

The book I read was Bone Rock Jaw Master of The Eastern Border By Jeff Smith. The 5th book in the Bone Series. The Plot of This book is when Smiley Bone befriends a rat creature cub and names is Bartleby. Fone Bone forces Smiley to return it to the mountains though because if people found that they are keeping a rat creature they will run out of that town too. So, when they are returning Bartleby to the mountains they run into Rock Jaw who calls himself Roque Ja. Continuosly Rock Jaw will try to kill them for no apparent reason but the fact that they don’t have a “side”. Finally they ask what he means when he says that. Rock Jaw says that since there is a huge going on with the Rat Creatures Vs. Dragons they must choose a side of Dragons or Rat Creatures. Later on Rock Jaw sees Kingdok and gets in a huge fight and ends up killing Kindok. Once they return to the valley they see that everything there was turned into a battle field. They could never find anybody. Any animal or thing they saw said that they were known for killing kindok.

The book i read is Bone Eyes Of The Storm By Jeff Smith. This is the 3rd book in the Bone series. This book takes place during the attack of the rat creatures. In this book the hooded man following them is reaveled he is the master of the plan, The lord of the locusts, and the leader of kindok. He is called The Hooded One. The hooded one sends kingdok to lead a group of rat creatures to attack the valley. This causes Thorn, Fone Bone, and thorn’s grandma to pack up and leave the vallery.

The book i read was Bone The Great Cow Race By Jeff Smith. It’s the 2nd  book in the Bone series. The plot of this book is that Phoney Bone trys to make a betting booth on who will win the race for more money. His plan was to dress up smiley as a cow in the race and convince them to bet on the Mystery Cow A.K.A Smiley Bone. Then once Smiley loses the race on purpose he will get everyones bets. There ends up being a riot because the rat creatures were taking the same route of the race and get mixed up with the race. Once again it’s all Phoney’s fault. Later in the book they have to flee the barn because the rat creatures attacked while Thorns Grandma holds the rat creatures. This is when they find out about Kindok master of the rat creatures.

The book that I read was Bone out from Boneville the first book in the bone series by Jeff Smith. This book is mostly about the bone cousins Fone Bone, Smiley Bone, and Phoney Bone. The book is called Out from Boneville because the selfish, and rich Phoney Bone got them run out of boneville because he ran for mayor and thought he was better than everyone else. The plot of this book is that when they were trying to find a place to live they got split up because of a locust attack. Fone Bone found a girl named thorn and her grandmother to live with. Smiley Bone didn’t even know where he was; and Phoney Bone ended up working at a bar name Barrelhaven tavern. While they are seperated they learn about the evil rat creatures, and the dragons who help them fight them off. Later they they all meet at the tavern, but they are still unaware of the hooded man following them.

This book is about a boynamed Leon, a girl named Lily-Matisse, and also another boy named P.W.. In this book the three kids are in 5Th grade. At there school there is a bully named Lumpkin. There is two things going on in this story. The first thing is Leon, Lily-Matisse, and P.W. are making a voo-doo doll so they can get revenge on Lumpkin. The second thing is in there science class they have this teacher. The teacher’s name is Mr. Sparks. This year Leon and his friends class are learning about potato chips! Leon already has a very good experience with chips so he decided to join a potato chip contest. The 3 people in the chip contest were Mr. Furtels. Mr Furtels is a scientist that studies chips. Another person is Alphonse Cipollini. Alphonse had won 5 contests in a row so that made Leon very nervous. The last person was obviouslyLeon. The reason why Leon joined the contest was because he needed to buy this army jacket so he could trade it with Lumkin. In the trade Leon’s army jacket would be traded for Lumpkin’s army jacket. Leon is doing this trade because in order to finish the voo-doo doll he needs something from Lumkin to stuff in side the doll for stuffing. The winner of the chip contest would get 800 dollars and Leon did not have the money to buy the army jacket himself. If you want to figure out if Leon wins the chip contest or if he ends up getting the jacket and getting revenge on Lumpkin read Leon and the Champion Chip.

Franny K. Stein is a mad scientist. She has everything a mad scientist could want; a giant invisible gecko, an eye-puller-outer, toenail enlarger, and much, much more! her class was going to have a “hobby day”: where everyone brinngs in, or acts out, something that represents thier hobby. Franny is very excited and can’t wait to see all of the cool and gross mad science things her classmates must like. However, much to her surprise, Franny finds out that her classmates like boring things. They like stuff like baking “pretty cookies” and tapdancing, or even something as boring as collecting stamps.

Franny needs to show this class the best hobby in the world- MAD SCIENCE!!!!!! She uses her latest inventions and skills. She turns herself invisible, and makes her classmates build a double headed robot. Only to find out they are clueless. Putting ketchep in the brain was NOT a good idea. Will it be a success? Or will the school burn down in flames?!

‘Can You get and F in Lunch’ by Nancy Krulik is about a sixth grade girl named Jenny McAffee who enters middle school, expecting her best friend Addie, and herself to hit it off, just like they used to in fifth grade. But when she goes to school, she finds her ex best friend Addie Wilson, as the new Pop member, the most popular seventh graders in school. Jenny feels abandoned and tries to join the Pops. But the Pops do not seem to want to let her in. Will Jenny McAffee find new freinds, or find herself the leader of the coolest kids in school? Find out, by reading, Can you get an F in Lunch? by Nancy Krulik. This is a really good series for kids about age ten and up.

The Accidental Cheerleader, by Mimi McCoy is about a shy girl named Sophie, and an out-going girl named Kylie’s friendship.  Kylie and Sophie are best friends, but when Kylie signs both of the girls up for cheerleading, something that could ruin their friendship happens!  Sophie ends up being a GREAT cheerleader, because she used to take gymnastics so she knows how to do all of the flips and tricks, but Kylie doen’t know how to even do a cartwheel!  So guess what?  Kylie ends up being the school mascot- a mule!  Will Sophie and Kylie still be friends because Kylie is the mascot and Sophie has other friends from cheering?  Or will they NEVER be friends again?  If you want to find out what happens, read the Accidental Cheerleader, by Mimi McCoy.  It is a quick read and I highly reccomend it for girls the age from 9-12.  Enjoy!

The Sisters Grimm The Fairy-Tale Detectives by Michael Buckley is the first book out of the whole series.  This book is about two sisters named Sabrina and Daphne Grimm and their parents have been missing!  The only thing the police found was their parents abandoned car and in there was a red hand print.  Ever since that happened they have been in the orphanage with a mean grumpy old lady named Ms. Smirt.  After a while Ms. Smirt finds their grandmother.  When Sabrina and Daphne heard they were going to live with their grandmother they were shocked because their dad said she died before they were born.   When they met their grandmother she said that they can call her Granny or Granny Relda and she introduced Sabrina and Daphne to her friend Mr. Canis.  Sabrina didn’t believe that Granny Relda was her grandmother but Daphne really liked her.  For dinner was spaghetti and meatballs but the noodles were black, the sauce was a bright orange, and the meatballs were an emerald green!  Sabrina took Daphne to try to escape through the window while everyone was asleep but in the woods they were little light things hurting them but Granny Relda came and helped them.  After that night Mr. Canis nailed shut there window for two reasons the first is so they won’t escape again and the second reason is so the light things can’t enter.  Do you want to know if Granny Relda is actually Sabrina and Daphne’s grandmother and why she cooks such odd food?  Why their parents disappeared?  You will have to read The Sisters Grimm The Fairy-Tale Detectives by Michael Buckley!
