Black Water, by D.J Machale is a book in the Pendragon series. the story starts when a boy named Bobby Pendragon goes into a world called Eelong. In Eelong, things are completely switched around. Cats are the masters of humans and the humans are slaves of the cats. However, the cats are making a new rule where they are free to eat humans. If that isn’t bad enough, they are trying to wipe all of the humans out! Bobby knows that an evil man is behind all this, so he tries to stop him and save the territory. I think this book would be good for both boys and girls.

At first, he starts out with a girl named Abilene, then one day, gets thrown into the sea by two mischevious boys, then the adventure begins!

I read the book Ruby the Red Fairy by: Daisy Meadows, this book is 1 point and 65 pages. The main characters are Kirsty Tate, Rachel Walker, and Ruby the Red Fairy. this book is mainly about how these two girls take a vacation, but when they meet they find out there cottage is right next to eachother! Rachel and Kirsty meet eachother parents and then ask them if they can explore the island, theie parents said ok. Just to let you know Kirsty and Rachel both beleive in magic, so when they explore the island they see a rainbow from the rain. Since they both believed in magic they thought there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. They kept walking and walking, then they found an old black pot! They tried to move it but wouldn’t budge. Then they heard a voice from inside the pot, they pushed the pot as hard as they could and it rolled over. To thier surprise red fairy dust flew out and then a fairy! They all met eachother and the fairie’s name was Ruby the Red Fairy. Ruby had 6 other sisters, one for each color of the rianbow. Ruby explained to them what was going on and problems they needed help with. One problem was that the evil Jack Frost banned all color from fairy world and there was no color. So Ruby took them to Fairyland and they got to meet the Queen and King. The King and Queen gave them an assignment to find all the other 6 rainbow faries (aka all Ruby’s sisters). To find out if they take the job to find the sisters, or if they do will they find them because they have 6 days left of vacation and 6 fairies to find, 1 fairy per day! to find out you have to read the book Ruby the Red Fairy by: Daisy Meadows. This is a totally easy read and it would appeal to girls way more than boys. I liked this book and hope you so to!

Eldest by Christopher Paolini was fantastic! It is the second book in the Inheritance Cycle Series. The first is Eragon and the third is Brisingr. It is about a boy named Eragon. He has a dragon named Saphira and he is trying to travel to the magical place of Elves called Ellesmera. He needs to go there to have Dragon Rider training. In Dragon Riding, he needs to learn magic and the skill with swords. The Cripple Who Is Whole gave him the suggestion to go to Ellesmera. But, when the leader dies, Eragon’s good friend Murtagh and a two sorcerers named the Twins disappear. The leader chooses his daughter to become the new leader. During this whole time, they are inside Ellesmera. The king of Ellesmera asks to adopt Saphira and Eragon in his family.
At the exact same time, Roran, Eragon’s cousin, goes back to Carvahall, his home. He is trying to marry a lady named Katrina. But, someone is looking for Roran. Trying to capture and kill him.
Eragon and Saphira travel with some elves to The Cripple Who is Whole. By the way, he is a legendary Dragon Rider who gives young Dragon Riders like Eragon advice. The Cripple Who is Whole trains Eragon to become a perfect dragon Rider to fight against their enemy from before. But, who is it? Will they die trying? Or will they succeed? Eldest is a great fantasy! It is worth 36 points.

The book I read was Time Stops for No Mouse. Obviously all the characters in this books are mice. Hermux is a watchmaker, and Linka Perflinger flys airplanes. One day Linka brought in her watch for Hermux to fix it. The weird thing was that Linka said she wanted it done by the next day, but the next day Linka never came to pick it up. Also Hermux thought that Linka was the most beutiful mouse ever, so of course he finished the watch by the next day. Anyway, Hermux decided to go to Linka’s house to look for her because it had been at least a week and she still hadn’t picked her watch up. Right before Hermux was going to leave, a tall mouse came in the store and asked for Linka’s watch. The rule was that if someone other than the owner came in to pick a watch up, the person needed the owner’s signiture in order to pick the watch up. The tall rat didn’t have Linka’s signiture so he could not get the watch. Once the rat left, Hermux went to Linka’s house and found out that she was not home. Right before that he saw two rats push Linka into a limo. In order to find out if Hermux finds Linka or what is going to happen to Linka read Time Stops for No Mouse.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer is about a boy named Matt. He is a clone of El Patron. Matt lives in a piece of land called Opium and he is unhappy there. He is first treated like a beast. Everyone ignored him as if he was nothing but a piece of paper. Then, El Patron, a very rich and powerful man, claimed his clone. Now, everyone is terrified of Matt. But, you may think El Patron is a nice person. Think again. His slaves are illegal immigrants that become eejits, Eejits are people who’s brains are programmed to working nonstop and following orders only.
El Patron loves Matt but, when El Patron suffers from a heart attack, Matt was supposed to give El Patron his organs but, he didn’t. El Patron died at one-hundred and forty-three years old. But, before all this happens, El Patron gave Matt a bodyguard, Tam Lin. Tam Lin is one of Matt’s only friends. Matt thinks of him as a father. But when El Patron dies, Matt runs away into the wild.
He finds an orphanage and enters. The orphans are known as “Lost Boys” and they live with men known as “Keepers.” The Keepers make the orphans do much work while they sit back and have lavish meals. Matt is an outsider but, he learns to fit in. He’s never done that before! He has always been alone, no one has ever loved him, and he has never had friends because he was clone. He finds the true meaning of friendship, it’s working together and fighting for one thing you all want. But, they all get along so well, they start a rebel against the Keepers. Matt leads them free of the orphanage but, where will they go now? Will they survive on their own?

I loved The House of the Scorpion. I’d recommend it to boys and girls of ages ten and up. This story is told in third person point of view. And Matt really finds what true friendship is.

I read the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. It is 7 points and 187 pages. The main characters in this book are Ali, Ali’s mom and dad, Ali’s mom’s sister Dulcie, Emma, and Sissy. This is a very scary stories and a very big mystery. One day Ali starts looking through old boxes and finds a photograph, she reconizes two people her mom and Dulcie when they were little. but then there was a third person. The person was almost completely torn out of the picture but the person’s hair and part of their arm was still showing. Since she wants to figure it out she will only have two monthe to do so because she is staying with her cousin in the same house her mom and Dulcie used to visit. When they were at cabin it looked old and wrecked but still okay to live in for a couple of weeks. One day when Ali and Emma were playing outside they meet this girl named Sissy. To Ali she is mean, rude, and spiteful and Ali starts to think that if Sissy plays with Emma all the time it will ruin Ali’s summer to spend time with Ali. Sissy has a BIG secret, but does it have something to do with the old photo? As you would think Ali will use her whole summer to find out. If so, Ali must be carful because when she finds out because it might just happen to her, that would be to die. If you would like to find out if Sissy had something to do with the photo or if Ali dies you have to read the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous. On a scale on 1-10 I would rate this a 1,000,000. This book was an awsome book and I hope hyou read it too.

I read the book Ivy and Bean the ghost that had to go by Annie Barrows. The main characters in this book are Ivy who didn’t talk a lot and was shy and Bean who was willing to do about everything. They would go to school in the second grade and they have a lot of friends. At recess they started hearing noises in the bathroom. A couple times they would see a white blur now and then. Then one day they started thinking there was a ghost in the bathroom. Later they told one person then it spread through the whole second grade. The “ghost” was starting to cause trouble and starting to get angry, so Ivy and Bean ddecided to make a potion to scare away the ghost. Bean didn’t want the ghost to go, she said that it only came and started getting angry because it was not R.I.P. When they made the potion they spread, poured, and dumped it out of a jar so it would go away. If you want to find out if they get rid of the ghost or not you have to read Ivy and Bean and the ghost that had to go. It is 1 point, 125 pages, a really quick read, but also a great book. If I had to rate this book 1-10 i would honestly give this book a 10!

In the beginning of the book, it is Rapunzel’s birthday and she is very excited. But all of a sudden a witch comes to take her away from her house and her parents. Her parents try to stop the witch from taking Rapunzel. Rapunzel gets to either stay with her parents but then the witch would take away a rare plant that Rapunzel’s family uses to get money from people. Rapunzel’s family needs the money to pay for the things they need. So, Rapunzel’s parents let the witch take Rapunzel to a tall tower instead of taking the plant. In the middle of the book, Rapunzel meets one person named Steve who gives food and gifts to her when she needs something in the tower. At the end of the book, Rapunzel meets Prince Benjamin who apparently saves her. Prince Benjamin lives in a large castle and has two friends, a sister, a mum and a dad. Prince Benjamin, his friend, and his cousin had a plan to go to find a cave with a treasure when all the men were out one day on a hunt. When they got to the cave they found something other than a treasure, they found a hermit! The hermit said instead of a finding a treasure to follow the voice. So, Prince Benjamin followed the voice which was Rapunzel’s voice. To find out how he saves Rapunzel and how Rapunzel lives her life in the tower, read the book Twice Up on A time-Rapunzel: The One with All the Hair, by Wendy Mass. I would rate this book a 7.5 out of 10 because it was a little too fairytale like for me, but overall a really good book. I would recommend this book mostly for girls because it is a fairytale.

It is because she always wishes in her head that she was something or someone rather than herself. Katie’s wishes always come true and after she realizes she is not herself anymore she is so mad or frustrated. Don’t you think she would be happy? Well, I guess not because when Katie’s wish comes true she is stuck for a while. In this book Katie turns into Heather, her best friend Suzanne’s baby sister! Oh-No! Katie is stuck in that baby’s body for some time. While Katie is Heather she hates it because she has to drink formula! Yuck! Then she realizes she did something when Suzanne changed Heather’s, which was really Katie, diaper. So to find out what Katie did read the book Oh, Baby by Nancy Krulik. I would rate this book a 9.5 out of 10. I would rate that rating because it was a fast read but a GREAT book! It only takes less than an hour to read, but like I said it is a GREAT book. I would recommend this book to mostly girls because it focuses on Katie who talks girly. So, go get the book or borrow the book Oh, Baby by Nancy Krulik. It was GREAT!

The Garden of the Purple Dragon by Carole Wilkinson is about a thrilling fantasy. This is the sequel to Dragon Keeper and the prequel to Dragon Moon.
Ping, a dragon keeper, and a dragon, Kai go on amazing adventures. Kai is the last imperial dragon. He is only a child though, no more than half a year old. But he can’t fly yet. For a dragon, it takes 500 years to grow horns and 1,000 years to grow wings and fly. They are both living in a cave on the sacred and forbidden mountain of Tai Shan. But, when everything is doing well, they get caught by imperial guards. They are arrested. When the king realizes that she is a dragon keeper, he lets them free but, they are trapped inside the palace. When a necromancer or evil witch steals the young dragon, Kai, and takes his blood for a spell of immortality, will Ping ever save Kai? Will he die? And will the imperial dragons be extinct forever?
I really loved this book and it was a fantasy. My favorite genre. The best part had to be when they were happy living in the cave of Tai Shan. I think it would suit both boys and girls. There is some fighting but, it is totally appropriate. I hope you will all love this book as much as I did! Enjoy! ^^

I’m really surprised that there was not yet a blog for this wonderful book!

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass is about a girl named Amanda. She has a best friend Leo. They have been inseperable by birth. They have the exact same birthday, born in t he same hospital, and they have shared every single birthday party together until this year. You see, at Leo’s tenth birthday party, he said unkind words about Amanda that she overheard. Right then, she decided to break their friendship. Since then, they haven’t spoken to each other at all! For a whole entire year! How bizzare. On their eleventh birthday, they both didn’t like celebrating it without each other. When Amanda falls restlessly in bed on the night of her eleventh birthday, she is relieved that it is over. But, little did she know, when she woke up again, it was her birthday again. And over and over again. She starts getting panicked. Amanda doesn’t tell this to anyone. But, when she finds out that Leo is realizing that the day is repeating she is shocked! They both wonder why they have been having these strange happenings. They try to correct it but doing different things and seeing the effects but, will they ever be able to resume their proper place in life?

I really loved this book! But, the more I think about it, how dreadful would it be to repeat the day over and over again? And worst of all without anyone else knowing! I also finished this book in one day. It is worth seven points and is definitely fantasy. Happy Reading and Enjoy! ^^

Poison by Chris Wooding is about sixteen-year-old Poison. She lives in the marshes of Gull, a small village in the Realm or the world. Her mom, Faraway died of swamp lung so, her father, Hew, remarried. Of course, she hates her stepmother. On Soulcatcher Eve, Poison is sprinkled with magic dust and she is put to sleep for hours while a Scarecrow (evil creatures) steal her baby sister that’s about two and a half years old. During the night, her little sister, Alzalea, is replaced by a changling. A changling is a replica of a person left by the scarecrows that took her or him. But, the changling is pale, and has huge black dots for eyes. Poison hates to see her sister gone so, she sets off to find her. But, she doesn’t even know where to go! As she searches the Realm, she meets many new people and consider them her allies. Some of these people are: Myrrk, Peppercorn, Hierophant, and her favorite, Bram. As she tries to reach the Scarecrow that stole her sister, she goes through wild adventures including friends, magical creatures, and strange twists. This book is considered a ‘twisted fairytale fantasy.’
This is a great fantasy. Enjoy!

In this book Mr. Canis aka The Big Bad Wolf gets put in jail for the murder of Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother. This happened years ago! but they wanted him in jail. So, it is up to Sabrina, Daphne, Puck, and Granny Relda to defend him in court. In order to do this they need a lawyer. And they know exactly who to get- Robin Hood and his band of merrymen. Now, Robin Hood and Little John think this court is not fair, especially with the Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland, as the Judge. Bluebeard who is accusing the wolf is really mean and all he wants to do is flirt with Snow White! Well,as I was saying the judge never lets Robin and his side rest their Case. He always lets Bluebeard talk and then goes on coffee breaks! So, Bluebeard likes to bring in witnesses such as the three little pigs , the woodcutter, and Red Riding Hood herself! Each on of the witnesses points out the Wolf and so in conclusion to the witnesses and their remarks the Wolf is sentenced to hang! If you want to find out if the wolf is killed or if he survives, read the sisters Grimm book six.

Have any of you guys heard of Alice in Wonderland? Alice goes into Wonderland and has a magical journey. But not in this book! This book tells the real story of Alice (actually called Alyss), who goes into the real world when chased by her malicious aunt, Redd. Anyways, in the real world Alyss meets Lewis Carrol the writer of the book, Alice in Wonderland. She tells him her story of how she is a princess and her mother and father were killed by her aunt Redd. But he mixes the story up! He changed it into the book we read today. Back to Alyss, Alyss has to find a way back to Wonderland in order to claim her rightful place as The Queen of Hearts. I think that this book would appeal for both boys and girls and i would rate it a 9/10.

The Diamond in the Window, by Jane Langton, is about a brother and a sister who live in the strangest house in their neighborhood. Their parents have died, so they are living with their aunt and uncle. One day, while they are exploring their house, they find two mysterious beds, all made up, in the attic. They seem to be just the right size for two little children just like them…….

When the children ask their aunt what the beds are there for, she tells them the tragic story of their other aunt and uncle, a disappearance, and the love between a man and a woman. That is when the children decide that they want to sleep in the room in the attic. When they are about to go to bed, they discover a strange poem on the window. They then embark on the most exciting and dangerous adventure of their lives to find their missing aunt and uncle, and to bring back the lover of their aunt Lily.

I think girls would like this book more than boys because it has a lot of romance in it, but boys would enjoy all the action in it.

In the beginning of the book the 4 children, mother, and uncle arrive at the lake and get settled in. After they got settled in the cabin that they were staying at during summer break, they were very EXCITED about how they were going to spend their time at the lake. When they first went swimming they saw a turtle who told them the lake was MAGIC, which I thought was very cool! The thing is that they had to have some part of their body touching the water to have the magic work for them. So that meant that the kids got to make wishes by the lake everyday. That’s what happened in the beginning of the book. In the middle of the book they were wishing for cool things. An example of one wish that two of the girls made was that they could become teenagers so that they could dance with these two boys. I thought that was pretty cool that they got to make wishes everyday no matter what. At the end of the book they wished that they could find a treasure on an island to help their uncle who was running the book store for the summer. The kids tried to get a treasure so their uncle could keep the business running. To find out if the kids find the treasure read the book Magic by the Lake by Edward Eager. I would rate this book an 8 out of 10 because of all the adventures that the kids’ wishes gave them. I hope that you enjoy the book as much as I did.

This book Warriors Midnight by Erin Hunter is a HUGE adventure book. It all starts out with Brambleclaw having the weirdest dream ever. Brambleclaw dreamed of Bluestar telling him that a new prophecy will come, new dangers will ruin the forest, and that him and three other cats must head out on a journey and wait for Midnight. So, at the next gathering Brambleclaw told sister Tawnypaw, about his dream and Tawnypaw ended up having the same dream to, but Nightstar told her everything Bluestar told Brambleclaw to her. But, Tawnypaw told Brambleclaw that Nightstar told her that they would meet the other two cats at Fourtrees on the new moon to plan out their journey to save the forest. I recomend this book to ages 9 – 12, and this book is 12 points. So read this book Warriors Midnight by Erin Hunter to see if the forest will be saved.

The Dollhouse Murders by betty Ren Wright is a creepy story about twelve year old Amy who is frusterated with her mentally retarded sister, Louann. Louanne is always embarassing her in front of her friends and making Amy never be able to get together with anyone becuase they always think she’ll take Louann along. So when an offer from her Aunt Claire comes to say that Amy can spend a while at her old house, Amy quickly accepts. But while at her Aunt’s house, strange things happen in the attic at night. Amy sees the tiny dolls, made to look exactly like her father and aunt and their grandparents, move around. But the scariest thing of all is that the figures move to the exact places they were when in real life, they were murdered. Grandfather doll is sprawled across the bed, Grandmother doll is in the parlor, lying on the floor, and Father doll is in the closet as a five year old boy, asleep while it all happened. Amy wonders if the spirits are trying to tell her something about the deaths, and the mystery murderer. Amy can absloutey not bring the chilling subject up with her Aunt, because she was out at the movies that night of the murder, and feels absolutly guilty whenever her grandparents are talked about. Do you want to find out what the spirits are trying to tell Amy? Do you want to find the murderer? Read, The Dollhouse Murders to find out. The book was very chilling, especially I being afraid of dolls. It’ll scare you, I gaurentee. I’d definitely reccomend this book for boys and girls ages 10 to fourteen. Enjoy!

In the book The Iron Giant there is a kid named Hogarth. When Hogarth looks out his window from his house he sees a tractor that has been bitten in half! He tells his dad. Once his dad sees it, he tells all the other farmers what had happened. The next day Hogarth sees the HUGE iron giant outside in his yard eating more of the tractor! So Hogarth’s dad and the other farmers decide to set a trap. They dig a big hole and put branches and leaves over it so when the iron giant comes to eat something he will step in the hole and get stuck! A few weeks went by but Hogarth’s dad and the farmers didn’t have any luck. The following night they heard something crash right out in their front yard! When they all got outside they saw the iron giant running away! A few weeks later a big black thing just crashed to the ground! Around the whole Earth people could feel the impact. It was a big black dragon! The dragon said that if people don’t bring him food soon he would start eating the cities and farms! So the iron giant decided to challenge the big black dragon in strength. The iron giant said that if he won, then the big black dragon had to be his slave. If the iron giant didn’t win then the big black dragon would eat the whole city. To figure out who wins, read The Iron Giant!

Then he gets a letter saying that his great-uncle is dead and he is the only one to inherit Lansbury Hall. But when he arrives he has a feelimg that he is being watched. He soon realizes that Lansbury hall has a mystery and that the answer is hidden somewhere in the huge piece of land. Stephen reads his great-uncle’s journal in search of answers. But what he finds out is more shocking than he can ever imagine. I think this book was okay because it is a long book. This book is full of adventure. I would recommend this book to girls and boys. I also think that people who like a good mystery should read this book. My favorite part was when he finds the answer to the mystery.

He’s always wanted to be a famous and remembered person. He tries very hard to be that person and spends most of his time doing it. As a result, he doesn’t realize that the forest is drying up. Tad starts to get flashbacks of a “past life.” So, Tad begins a quest with his sister, Birdie, to find the Waterstone and bring water back to the forest. Along the way he will meet creatures, make friends, and verse a dangerous evil that he never thought of confronting. I liked this book because it is very adventurous. I think this book will entertain boys and girls. My favorite part was the ending of the book.

This book starts out with a Professor named Pippy P. (pee-pee) Poopypants. He is a genius but has a silly name, and no one respects him. He gets a job at George and Harold’s school as a science teacher but the kids laugh at him. He gets very angry and creates 3 things: The Gerbil Jogger 2000, the Goosy Grow 4000, and the Shrinky Pig 2000. He uses those machines to get some respect and revenge on all the people that made fun of him. He also creates the name change-o-chart 2000. So everybody has a silly funny name like him. Can George, Harold, and the Mighty Captain Underpants stop Professor Pippy P. Poopypants? Find out by reading this book. I think this book would appeal to mostly boys because it has a lot of potty humor.

This is the third book in the Captain Underpants series. The book starts out with three space aliens that crash on earth, and they mean nothing but trouble.

George Beard and Harold Hutchins are still up to no good as well. It all starts with George and Harold messing with the lunch laides. They make a recipe for the ladies to cook and well, it explodes. So the lunch ladies quit. Then the three space aliens decide to pose as luch ladies to take over the school and then the whole world. There names are, Zorxette, Klaxette, and Jenniferette. The evil space lunch ladies come up with a “healthy nutritional meals” to feed the kids, and when they come out of the cafeteria they turn into Zombie Nerds! Now it is up to George, Harold, Captain Underpants to stop the invasion of the Zombie Nerds and the evil space alien lunch ladies. Can they stop their evil plot? When the Nexus, an organization, told Matt a second gate was going to open, Matt and his friend, Richard Cole have to fly to Peru to prevent the gate from opening. A guy named Diego Salamanda was trying to get the gate to open! Once Matt and Richard arrived, in Peru, there was trouble. There were people shooting at their car and Richard got kidnapped. Matt escaped but when he woke up, he found a boy pick pocketing him. Matt left the boy and he headed to the hotel his driver should have taken him. When he reached the hotel, there were police there and they tried to beat Matt up. The boy had followed and used his slingshot and shot the policeman down. The boy took Matt to his home. Matt found out that the boy’s name was Pedro and that Pedro had seen Matt in his dreams too. Sebastian, the person that Pedro worked for told them that they should leave because the police are looking for them. Matt and Pedro both left and they were helped by people that lived there. A person named Atoc brought him to his village and they found Richard. Pedro founded out that he was one of the five people that could save the world. They also found out that the second gate was going to open in 3 days. As Matt, Pedro, Richard, and Atoc continue on the journey to close the gate, they find trouble! The ancient pictures of spiders, birds and other creatures that were drawn in the sand are connected to the stars and in three days, the stars will line up and the gate will open. If you want out if the gate will be closed or if the Old Ones will come out of the gate read Evil Star! This is book two of the Gatekeepers series.

I read a book called The Tales of Beedle The Bard and it was used in the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. In this book there are five stories called, The Wizard and The Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock’s Hairy Heart, Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump, and The Tale of the Three Brothers. These stories also have comments by Albus Dumbledore. The Warlock’s Hairy Heart is my least favorite story because it is very gruesome when a warlock locks away his heart after his friends act foolishly when picking a wife. But, after he finds a beautiful women to love he takes his heart, which has become hairy, until he finds out that his heart has changed. But, by the time he takes his heart out, it is too late. He then opens her chest and takes out her scarlet heart vowing to exchange it for his own, but instead they both lie dead upon each others bodies. If you aren’t into that kind of story, there are more stories that have happy endings, such as The Fountain of Fair Fortune, where the gates finally open letting only the people that it claims worthy. The gates opened to three young women and a knight, to the Fountain of Fair Fortune. In order to reach their goal, they have to overcome many obstacles, and on the way they realize that they have everything that they need and the one who needs the Fountain of Fair Fortunt the most is the knight, who has no magical power. This is a great book that I would recomend for boys and girls 10+, who like adventurous stories.

At the beginning of this book Soren is in his nest with his family waiting for his little sister to hatch. Soren by the way is a Barn Owl. Soren’s parents call Soren’s new sister Eglantine. A few nights later Soren fell from his nest but doesn’t know how. Soren can’t fly yet so he decides to wait for his mom and dad. But instead of his mom and dad picking him up, a strange owl swoops in and takes him to St. Aggies Academy for “Orphaned” Owls. Along the way Soren meets an Elf Owl named Gylfie who is captured by an owl named Grimble. Right from the start Soren and Gylfie hate St. Aggies every single second. They soon find out about moon blinking and what it does. Grimble helps Soren and Gylfie escape St. Aggies. Soren and Gylfie heard a shriek from behind and the night was splattered with blood. After their escape Soren and Gylfie meet Twilight a Great Gray and Digger a Burrowing Owl. To find out what moon blinking is and what happened to Grimble. If you like books about animals, fighting, and adventure read the book The Capture By Kathryn Lasky. I really enjoy reading the series

It started when a boy named Matt that was arrested and sent away because he was robbing video games. He had to live with a person called Mrs. Deverell in Hive Hall, where he thinks there is a mysterious even that is going on that includes him. He goes to Lesser Malling and finds it strange because it was like everybody knew him. As things seem stranger, everyone that tries to help Matt dies. He learns from a guy named Sanjay Dravid that Mrs. Deverell and the other people that lived in Lesser Malling were witches. With a journalist named Richard, Matt has to save the world from stopping Raven’s Gate to open because if it does, it will be able to release the Old Ones. This book is a great book about magic, power, and absolute greatness. I recommend this book to people who love magic. This is the first book in the Gatekeepers series.

This is also part of the Disney fairies collection.

Dulcie is a cooking talent fairy, which means all she wants to do is cook. That is all she ever does in the Pixie Hollow kitchen, where hungry fairies await her delicious meals. Every single fairy in Pixie hollow depends on Dulcie and her helpers to make them their meals every day. However, one day, everything goes terribly wrong in the kitchen. Dulcie can’t even make her signature poppy puffs-which EVERY fairy loves. They turned out flat. In the breads, she used salt instead of flower. She woke up late. It was all wrong. Then, the Queen fairy says that Dulcie should take a break for a day or two, leaving snotty Ginger to be in charge of the kitchen. While Dulcie is searching in the library, she notices an old recipe; it obviously hadn’t been read for many years. It was magical. Everytime Dulcie would do a task, a new ingredient would appear on the paper. When she got all of the ingredients she sneaked into Pixie Hollow kitchen and tried it out; so she can prove SHE belongs in the kitchen.

Will she be able to prove she’s a great cook? Is the magical cake good?

This story is about a dog named Freddie. He had a wonderful boy that took good care of him. One day when his boy was gone to school, his dad took Freddie for a ride in the car. The dad opened the door and forced Freddie to get out. Freddie got out and then the dad closed the door and left without Freddie. He did not know what to do. Then he figured out that he got dumped. He now had to live on his own. One day when Freddie was just wandering around, he found a dump. At that dump he saw a little friendly dog and a big mean dog. Freddie approached the little dog and the little dog growled and barked at him, but Freddie was not scared. The little dog did not try to act tough then. Then Freddie started to talk with the little dog. The little dog’s name was Spike and he was a watchdog. He also got dumped. Freddie asked who the big mean dog was. His name was Tiger. Spikes and Tigers owner was a mean old person named Roy. Roy would always hurt the dogs. One day Freddie thought of an idea, so that Spike could escape. The plan was that they would dig a hole under the fence so Spike could crawl under it. The plan worked perfectly. Now Freddie and Spike had to live on there own. Will Freddie and Spike find a happy place to live or will Roy find them? I think this book will appeal to both boys and girls. This book takes place in the country on a farm, so if you like farms and the country life, you should read this book. I usually like Bill Wallace’s books, but I didn’t like this book as much as the other ones he’s written. This book is short and is only 146 pages long.

This story is about a roadrunner named Thunderfoot. Thunderfoot got his name due to his big feet and he got his big feet when he was bit by a snake. Thunderfoot had to live on his own because he was too big and when Thunderfoot started to live on his own, he went through some adventures. One day Thunderfoot was just doing nothing and a wild coyote tried to kill him. Every now and then the coyote come back, but ever time he came back, the coyote got stronger. The coyote also may even bring a companion and make new friends on the way. Thunderfoot met a female roadrunner Agile’eka. Thunderfoot started to like her, but he also met more roadrunners such as Rocket. Rocket got his name because he was fast. He also met a wise turtle named Burland. Thunderfoot had many desires such as the desire to fly. Will Thunderfoot ever be able to fly with his HUGE feet or will Agile’eka ever fall in love with Thunderfoot? Did the coyotes ever attack Thunderfoot or did they become friends? I think this book will appeal to both boys and girls. I thought this book was a good book and it was kind of funny. This book is mostly full of adventures and is only 150 pages long.

This book is about a boy named Trip. Trip does not like reading and all he wants to do is play lacrosse. When Trip and his buddy are on their way to lacrosse tryouts, the president of the PTO asks him to help set up for the book fair. All he had to do was carry a stack of books to a table, but it turns out to be a DISASTER!! When he was carrying a stack of books, they tumble on him and knock him out. When he wakes up he has absolutely no idea where he is. When he encounters a haunted house, aliens, talking animals, dwarfs, the super bowl, wacky super heros, and much much more, he thinks that getting home is a little more unusual than getting on the bus. I think that this book will appeal to both boys and girls. I also thought that this book was really funny, but I think you should be at least 11 years of age to read it. This book is like all genres in one book. I thought that this book was very very clever and unique. I hope you take the time to read this OUTSTANDING book. It is a book that I will always remember.

This book is part of the Disney Fairies series.

Lily is an adorable garden fairy. She has a large garden with big, beautiful flowers she cares for every day. Every fairy in Pixie Hollow loves Lily’s garden. One day, while Lily took a walk in the woods, she came across a beautiful object. Although she wasn’t sure what it was, she loved it. It was round and pearly-white, with flared edges. She later found out it was a seed-to a plant unknown even by Iris, an extremely smart garden fairy. After planting the seed, she realizes the plant is extremely ugly, with big brown dots and sticky slime. The fairies have been telling her it’s no good. It then has an awful smell. Many fairies argue the plant has to go. Lily loves this plant though; she loves ALL plants. As the plant just grows bigger and uglier, all the fairies are getting sick from the plant. They were sneezing and coughing on there leaferchiefs. All of the fairies (except Tinker Bell, Lily, and some friends) are threatening to cut down the plant.

What will Lily do?

The 5th book in the Bone Series. The Plot of This book is when Smiley Bone befriends a rat creature cub and names is Bartleby. Fone Bone forces Smiley to return it to the mountains though because if people found that they are keeping a rat creature they will run out of that town too. So, when they are returning Bartleby to the mountains they run into Rock Jaw who calls himself Roque Ja. Continuosly Rock Jaw will try to kill them for no apparent reason but the fact that they don’t have a “side”. Finally they ask what he means when he says that. Rock Jaw says that since there is a huge going on with the Rat Creatures Vs. Dragons they must choose a side of Dragons or Rat Creatures. Later on Rock Jaw sees Kingdok and gets in a huge fight and ends up killing Kindok. Once they return to the valley they see that everything there was turned into a battle field. They could never find anybody. Any animal or thing they saw said that they were known for killing kindok.

The book i read was Bone The Great Cow Race By Jeff Smith. It’s the 2nd book in the Bone series. The plot of this book is that Phoney Bone trys to make a betting booth on who will win the race for more money. His plan was to dress up smiley as a cow in the race and convince them to bet on the Mystery Cow A.K.A Smiley Bone. Then once Smiley loses the race on purpose he will get everyones bets. There ends up being a riot because the rat creatures were taking the same route of the race and get mixed up with the race. Once again it’s all Phoney’s fault. Later in the book they have to flee the barn because the rat creatures attacked while Thorns Grandma holds the rat creatures. This is when they find out about Kindok master of the rat creatures.

The book that I read was Bone out from Boneville the first book in the bone series by Jeff Smith. This book is mostly about the bone cousins Fone Bone, Smiley Bone, and Phoney Bone. The book is called Out from Boneville because the selfish, and rich Phoney Bone got them run out of boneville because he ran for mayor and thought he was better than everyone else. The plot of this book is that when they were trying to find a place to live they got split up because of a locust attack. Fone Bone found a girl named thorn and her grandmother to live with. Smiley Bone didn’t even know where he was; and Phoney Bone ended up working at a bar name Barrelhaven tavern. While they are seperated they learn about the evil rat creatures, and the dragons who help them fight them off. Later they they all meet at the tavern, but they are still unaware of the hooded man following them.

The Sisters Grimm The Fairy-Tale Detectives by Michael Buckley is the first book out of the whole series. This book is about two sisters named Sabrina and Daphne Grimm and their parents have been missing! The only thing the police found was their parents abandoned car and in there was a red hand print. Ever since that happened they have been in the orphanage with a mean grumpy old lady named Ms. Smirt. After a while Ms. Smirt finds their grandmother. When Sabrina and Daphne heard they were going to live with their grandmother they were shocked because their dad said she died before they were born. When they met their grandmother she said that they can call her Granny or Granny Relda and she introduced Sabrina and Daphne to her friend Mr. Canis. Sabrina didn’t believe that Granny Relda was her grandmother but Daphne really liked her. For dinner was spaghetti and meatballs but the noodles were black, the sauce was a bright orange, and the meatballs were an emerald green! Sabrina took Daphne to try to escape through the window while everyone was asleep but in the woods they were little light things hurting them but Granny Relda came and helped them. After that night Mr. Canis nailed shut there window for two reasons the first is so they won’t escape again and the second reason is so the light things can’t enter. Do you want to know if Granny Relda is actually Sabrina and Daphne’s grandmother and why she cooks such odd food? Why their parents disappeared? You will have to read The Sisters Grimm The Fairy-Tale Detectives by Michael Buckley!

In a magical dominion, three teenage girls are selected to fulfill an ancient prophecy. When Jade, Opal, and Amber turn fourteen, they set out on a journey to defeat evil in a majestic land called Fairytale. In Fairytale, magic is the authority but, wherever there are living creatures, evil exists. Jade, Opal, and Amber are each armed with a magical stone. Jade has a jade, Opal has an opal, and Amber has an amber. They meet magical creatures and untrusting stangers while they cross dark towns and caressing fields. They must defeat the Army of Darkness and bring goodness beyond Fairytale into the Outside world.

At the same time in a parallel universe, a young girl named Joa is dying of a deadly disease. But, when Joa dreams, she is in Fairytale living the life with Jade, Opal, and Amber. The dream is what is keeping Joa alive, making her fight for life.

Jade, Opal, and Amber battle with the Army of Light against the Army of Darkness. There are only hundreds of Light battlers while thousands of Darkness troops fight. But, in order to win the battle and Joa’s life, they must believe in the impossible and dream of one thing: Hope.

So Harry wanted to make a funny joke to Sir.Fartsalot, and said that the stinky smell was a big fat booger somewhere off in the distance. Sir.Fartsalot believed him and decided to look for the booger. During his quest he ran into his old buddy named Sir.Cedric, so Sir.Cedric decided to go on the quest with them. During their quest they went on a great adventure through an enchanted forest and also they met some Ogres that they had to fight.
